Michael has a history of photographing fashion and music. Having honed her skills assisting some of the world's best photographers when she was young, she is now photographing worldwide documentary and pro sports from a unique and cinematic perspective. Beginning in 2009, the backstage world of professional cycling is where she cut her teeth in sports photography circles. In Spain, she worked with pro cycling teams such as Team Geox-TMC, Leopard Trek and Euskaltel Euskadi during the epic La Vuelta a Espana. For 7 months in 2011, she lived and worked In Italy, shooting for Milani Cycles, Colnago, De Rosa and several other Italian and French bike manufacturers. She has covered Pro Cycling in Europe for Peloton Magazine, Paved Magazine, and CyclingFans.com. Michael lives in New York and is a contributor to Corbis Images for Documentary and Special Projects. She is also currently a freelance documentary photographer and filmmaker for UNICEF in West Africa. Michael is a 2012 Communication Arts Photo Annual Winner and is proud to announce that she has received Honorable Mention in 5 Categories for the 2012 International Photography Awards (IPAs)
In 2013, Michael plans to continue traveling the world and is always eager to get her hands dirty.

Michael is a cyclist, runner, train-hopper and espresso lover. She has also competed in several Olympic distance triathlons.
